Naturally-occurring halloysite nanotubes (HNTs) have many advantages for constructing target-specific delivery of phototherapeutic agents. Here. HNTs were labeled with fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) and loaded with the type-II photosensitizer indocyanine green (ICG) for phototherapy.
